Can I Move Apps from My Mac Mini's Internal SSD to an External SSD?

I'm trying to help my dad with his M4 Mac Mini. He just got a dock that allows for an external SSD, which is great because I had an extra one lying around from a previous project. His internal SSD is 512GB, while the external one is 1TB. Is it possible to move some applications from the internal SSD to the external SSD?

Absolutely! You can just drag and drop the applications to the external SSD. But keep in mind, you might experience some performance issues since apps run better on internal storage.

Actually, it should be fine performance-wise! The external SSD is connected via a 10Gbps+ link, so I doubt the speed will be a problem.
