I've got a Ryzen 7 5800x and a TUF RTX 3060 ti, but I'm facing some frame-rate issues while gaming. I'm running everything on a 1440p monitor, and I'm starting to think it might be the culprit. Would switching to 1080p improve my performance, or will it just look bad?

You could've just tried changing the resolution instead of typing this out! But hey, it's good that you're looking to learn. Switching to 1080p should definitely give you better FPS.

The RTX 3060Ti is decent, but it might struggle with 1440p in more demanding games. Switching to 1080p should boost your performance but expect it to look slightly blurry. You could even use DLSS if your games support it for better upscaling.

Don’t forget to tweak your shadow settings! They can have a massive impact on your frame rates compared to other graphical settings.

Running 1080p on a 1440p monitor can look a bit off, but using DLSS in quality or balanced mode could really help. It lets your games run smoother at a lower resolution without sacrificing too much clarity.

If DLSS isn't available, try using the Lossless Scaling app from Steam. It helps upscale games to your monitor's native resolution but might introduce some latency. It's worth a shot!
