I'm helping my wife build a new PC, and I was considering using her secondary 2TB M.2 SSD that's currently in her old laptop. The SSD only has games on it since Windows is on the primary drive. Should I wipe the SSD before the new build, or is it better to install Windows on it while it's still in the laptop? Just for reference, the SSD is a Samsung 990 EVO 2TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4x4. Any advice would be appreciated!

You don't need to wipe the SSD beforehand since it will be wiped when you install Windows on it in the new build. Just swap it into her PC, create a Windows 11 installation USB, and go from there!

Got it! It’s been a bit since I built mine, so I forgot it gets wiped during the Windows installation. Thanks for clarifying!
