I'm curious whether it's possible to use Claude Code with the VS Code extension on a Windows machine while on the max plan, or is it only accessible through the API?

I haven't tried Claude Code yet but I'm eager to give it a go on my max plan. Hoping it works seamlessly!
Using Claude Code in WSL might be your best bet if you're on Windows. You can still develop as usual in Windows while accessing Claude via WSL, even though it might come with a few challenges. It's worth trying the API first before committing to a subscription, though.
Yes, you can use Claude Code with VS Code! It functions well, but there might be some limitations depending on your setup.
Actually, there's a CLI version of Claude Code that works in the terminal alongside any IDE, including VS Code. Though, I've heard that IDE integration is currently not supported on Windows.
