Can I Use My Current PCIe Cables with a 50 Series GPU?

I'm considering upgrading to a 50 series GPU and I want to use white sleeved extension cables to match my build. However, my PSU, a Cooler Master MWE 80+ Gold V2, doesn't have a native 50 series cable. I'm wondering if I can use the existing PCIe cables from my RTX 2060 with an adapter like the one I found on Amazon. The adapter seems to be designed for 30-40 series GPUs, so I'm looking for some advice on whether this would work or if I should choose another option instead!

Yes, technically they are compatible, but I personally wouldn’t risk it. The 12VHPWR connector has had reliability issues. I’d recommend sticking with the cables that come with your PSU to minimize any potential risks.

Gotcha! Just to clarify, I don’t have a native connector for the 50 series. Would it be better to just use the standard black power adapter that comes with the GPU? Appreciate your help!
