Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC build and could really use some help. Here's my setup from PCPartPicker:
- **CPU:** Intel Core i5-14400F 2.5 GHz 10-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard:** ASRock Z790 Lightning WiFi ATX LGA1700
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
- **Storage:** Corsair MP600 GS 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME
- **Video Card:** Zotac Twin Edge GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB
- **Case:** Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh V2 ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply:** MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular
Total cost comes to about $720.45.
I plan to use this mainly for Blender, and I know VRAM can be a limiting factor, so I'm really hoping to get that GPU. Everything else is pretty flexible. I need Wi-Fi, but I'm not sure if I need a motherboard with built-in Wi-Fi. I picked the i5 for its good single-thread performance (which I've heard is important for Blender tasks like simulations and sculpting). I was wondering if downgrading to an i3 would cause issues.
I'm also unsure if my case is suitable or if I need a Gold-rated PSU. I've tried overclocking a laptop before with mixed results for rendering speeds but that's just my experience.
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Hey! Where are you shopping from? And what's your budget? Do you already have the GPU? By the way, Nvidia cards are great for Blender; they perform way better than AMD for rendering!
I'm in Canada! I don't have the GPU yet, but there's a sale at Best Buy so I need to decide soon. The current total for my non-GPU components is about $912 before tax, and I hope to get it down to $800. Definitely all in for Nvidia!
