I woke up early today to a barrage of complaints from end users about an issue with the Outlook client getting stuck in a credential challenge loop. Our setup involves hybrid joining and we're using Outlook 2019 with Office 365. I wonder if anyone else is facing this problem or if there has been an outage. Interestingly, an update just revealed that the issue seems to have resolved itself, but I'm curious about others' experiences and if there are any underlying causes to be aware of.

If you're experiencing widespread issues, it might be a service-side problem. For just a few users, you might want to check their cached credentials or consider resetting their profiles.
Man, it’s a relief to hear that I’m not the only one dealing with this today. We have several users on Office 2021 facing the same credential requests.
I was feeling the same panic until I saw your post! I filed a report too, but honestly, I have no idea what's going on. Glad to know I'm not alone in this mess!
I found a temporary fix by disabling the Microsoft Teams Meetings add-in in Outlook. If you're locked out, you can also tweak the registry a bit to make it work again.
We're facing the same credential loop problem with multiple users. The web app works fine, but the 2019 version seems to be malfunctioning pretty badly.
