I'm currently putting together my first PC build and I'm running into issues because it doesn't seem to post. My setup includes:
1) Teamgroup Tforce Delta RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM (Product Code: FF3D532G6000HC30DC01)
2) Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX Rev 1.3 motherboard
PCPartPicker suggested that these components are compatible, so I didn't think there would be any issue when I ordered them. However, I noticed that while Teamgroup's website claims compatibility with the motherboard and my AMD 9000 series CPU, Gigabyte's site does not list my specific RAM module in its supported items.
I've reached out to Gigabyte for clarification, but could this lack of listing cause my system to not post? I'm trying to make sure everything works properly before I install everything into the case.
For my current setup, I have the following connected:
1) AMD 9800X3D
2) Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240mm cooler (connected to CPU_FAN)
3) The TForce Delta RAM in dual-channel mode
4) 5070FE graphics card
At the moment, I've connected the 24-pin ATX connector, CPU, and GPU to my PSU (Corsair RM750x). When I power it on, I get a purple light that quickly turns off and pressing the reset button doesn't do anything. The RGB lights on my cooler won't turn on either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It’s possible that your RAM isn’t the issue. Incompatibility is rare, especially with DDR5 like yours. It sounds more like it could be a short circuit or a power supply issue. Have you made sure everything is connected properly? If your build is displaying a purple light and then shutting down, that could indicate that the PSU is having trouble providing power, or something isn’t seated right.
In general, all DDR5 should be compatible with your board, but you might not be getting the advertised speeds due to the motherboard or CPU memory controller. Have you looked into potential short circuits? Double-checking your cable connections could save you a lot of headaches.
Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll take another look at the cable management to make sure there aren't any loose cables that could be causing a short.
Did you update the BIOS yet? Sometimes, the motherboard needs a BIOS update to properly recognize your CPU and RAM, especially if it’s a new build. If you haven't done it yet, that could be a crucial next step before anything else.
I haven't flashed the BIOS yet; I was going to try that next. I heard some people got the Rev 1.3 board working with the 9800X3D right out of the box, so I wanted to test that first.
Thanks for the input! I did check all the connections multiple times, but I will definitely revisit them to make sure everything is secure.
