Our HR team still relies on InfoPath forms for payroll, but the form URL recently started returning an HTTP 410 error. Several people are unable to access it, and Microsoft Support has not responded to our ticket yet. Has InfoPath Forms Services been fully retired, and what migration options would work for replacing these payroll and timesheet forms?

InfoPath Forms Services in Microsoft 365 was retired on July 14, 2026. The 410 response is consistent with the service being removed rather than experiencing a temporary outage, so the forms are unlikely to come back. You should begin migrating the workflows and data as soon as possible.
InfoPath 2013 is also end-of-life, so Microsoft probably will not provide much support for an existing deployment. For a replacement, look at Microsoft Lists or Dataverse for storing submissions, Power Apps for the form interface, and Power Automate for approvals, notifications, and payroll-related routing.
Power Automate can work well for timesheets when paired with a proper data source such as Dataverse or Microsoft Lists. It can handle reminders and manager approvals, but a more complete setup may need Power Apps or an existing time-tracking product instead of using a basic flow alone.
A 410 generally means the endpoint has been permanently removed. Since payroll depends on these forms, I would treat this as a migration project rather than waiting for the URL to return. Power Automate can be part of a timesheet solution, but make sure you also plan for permissions, approval history, validation, auditability, and payroll-system integration.
That makes sense. The form disappeared from our tenant over the weekend, so we are going to stop waiting and start evaluating Power Apps, Lists, and Power Automate as a replacement. HR was suggesting paper forms, but we need something more practical.
