I recently created an Apple TV account specifically to watch the Jays game, but I don't own any Apple devices like an iPhone or Mac. While I was watching, I got booted out and prompted to log back in. However, my login info wasn't working, so I requested account access. This morning, I received an email from Apple stating my request was denied. Apple support informed me that my account is considered 'inactive' and neither they nor I can log in, even to cancel the subscription. On top of that, I've been charged for the subscription that I can't access. They told me to dispute the charge with my bank rather than helping me cancel the subscription. I'm really frustrated and feel like I got ripped off. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice?

It sounds like something set off their security protocols. Have you been using a VPN or anything unusual with your billing info? People have had issues when using gift cards from sketchy sources too. If your account is banned, the subscription shouldn't renew, so asking for a chargeback through your bank might be your best bet.
You're definitely not alone in this. A lot of folks have reported similar issues. It seems like Apple might have some kind of security alert triggered since you created an account without using any of their devices. It's frustrating for sure!
Totally agree! It's ridiculous how big companies can treat customers like this and just dismiss their concerns.
Have you tried posting on Apple's support page? I know it can feel useless, but sometimes it helps to raise awareness about your situation.
I’ve already chatted with their support directly, but it wasn't helpful at all. Just left me feeling more upset.
I signed up from Canada with legit info using my Visa debit and no VPN, though my internet might bounce around with Starlink. Could that be the issue? It's bizarre because I've never had trouble with other services.
