I need help with my Apple account which has been hacked. I set it up with an old email account I barely check, and I haven't used that Apple account in over 8 years. Recently, someone has been trying to crack the password for my account since early January 2026. I just found out about the hacking two days ago when I logged into my old email for the first time in months. Right now, I managed to disable the two-factor authentication that the hacker activated using a foreign number, but after changing my password, I get stuck on security questions that I can't answer because they seem to be in Chinese. I've tried to reset the security questions but end up back at the same screen. My goal is to either permanently close the account to block the hacker from using it for scams or at least prevent any further access they might have. I don't want to pay for any Apple services to resolve this, and the hacker doesn't have access to my email anymore. What can I do?

There’s not a whole lot you can do right now other than continually canceling that two-factor authentication. Hopefully, the hacker will get tired and stop trying. But if you want to delete the account, you need to log in, and it sounds like you can't do that with those security questions.

So basically, I just have to let the hacker wreak havoc with my account? That's so frustrating!
