I tried to install Arch Linux on an old laptop, and everything seemed to go fine during the installation process. However, when I restarted the computer, it just boots to a blank screen with no operating system visible. Is this a common issue or something unusual? Any advice would be appreciated!

Did you remember to install a bootloader? That could be why you're not seeing the OS on startup. It’s a common step that can be overlooked during installation.
If you’re uncertain about the bootloader, it might be worth booting from the installation media again and checking that step. Sometimes the installer misses it, especially on older hardware.
