Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my Framework 13 laptop running Windows 11. Out of nowhere, my screen went black after taking me to the login screen. I could still see the time and watermark, but nothing else would show up, and I couldn't log back in. After restarting, I discovered a random song playing on a loop in the background, even though I don't have any apps or windows open. I'm starting to think this could be malware or some other glitch. Just last I was using Canva, so I'm not sure what's going on. Any advice would really help! Thanks!

It sounds really strange! Have you considered posting a video of the song? I’ve never come across a malware that plays music like that. As for malware removal, the clean install route is always a reliable solution, but I’d also recommend checking out different scans just to be safe! Let me know if you need suggestions for tools.

Sounds like you’re in a tough spot! If you do a clean install, make sure to back up your files first to avoid losing anything important. Also, have you checked if you're still logged into Gmail or other accounts? Sometimes, strange behaviors like these can affect your logins.

I did a full scan using Bitdefender, and it didn’t find anything. Any other tools you recommend? And is there a way to keep my data safe if I go for the clean install?

If you're suspecting malware, doing a clean install of Windows 11 might be your best bet. It's a sure way to get rid of any lingering threats. You can check out this malware guide for some tips on how to troubleshoot and remove malware before doing a full reinstall if you want to try that first! But be careful with your data—make sure you’ve backed everything up properly before making major changes to your system.
