Hey everyone! I'm thinking about assembling a high-end gaming PC after taking a long break from building. Last time I built a rig was back in 2007, and I've been stuck with laptops ever since. I'm looking for something that can handle VR gaming and last a long time, preferably without needing future upgrades. Flashy lights and aesthetics don't matter to me—I just want a reliable machine. I won't be overclocking, and I prefer air cooling.

Just a heads up, you might want to wait for the next-gen AMD and Nvidia releases rumored for late next year. They’re expected to offer significant performance improvements. If you can hold off, you might end up with a much better rig down the road.

The CPU you picked is top-notch, but consider the 9800X3D instead of the 9950X3D for gaming; it's almost as good but $200 cheaper. For the cooler, if you're set on Noctua for quiet performance, the NH-D15 G2 is a solid choice. Also, you don't really need to splurge on an expensive motherboard; something like the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX should do the trick without breaking the bank. Don’t forget to shop around for GPU prices; there are cheaper Zotac options out there that fit your needs!
