I've been dealing with high memory usage on my computer. For example, it's showing 75% memory usage even when I have nothing open, and there are over 80 active background processes. What steps can I take to identify which processes are safe to terminate, and how can I ensure they don't restart? Also, if there are additional solutions you can suggest, I'd really appreciate it!

First, it sounds like you might need to check how much RAM you actually have. Windows tends to cache applications that you use frequently, so it might be using memory even if nothing appears open. This is normal behavior. If you’re unsure about the processes, it’s worth looking into the Task Manager to see which ones are using the most resources.
Just a heads up: every computer is set up a bit differently, and ending processes can sometimes cause issues with functionality. It’s better to research which ones are essential before shutting anything down. You might also want to set some programs to not start up automatically if they aren’t needed right away.
You didn’t mention your full specs like your OS or processor, but with 8GB, you might be running into a limit, especially if some of that RAM is reserved for onboard graphics or other tasks. Make sure you have only necessary programs running, and consider upgrading if you find it too limiting for your needs.
I have 8GB of RAM. Does that change anything?
