I've got this bulky Acer PC that turns my room into a sauna after just half an hour of gaming. Unfortunately, my AC isn't doing much since the thermostat is in a different room. In winter, I could just crack open the window for some fresh air, but it's summer now!
I'm considering getting a portable AC unit that can vent heat out through my door since my window doesn't work with standard AC designs. I'm curious if anyone has found other creative solutions to this problem. Thanks in advance for the help!

Consider undervolting your CPU and GPU if you can. If that's not an option, then investing in an AC is really your best shot. Also, try capping your FPS—there’s no need to run above your monitor's refresh rate.
Honestly, the most effective route is to decentralize. If you can't vent the heat out with fans or AC, the best option is to move the PC out of your room altogether.
Another idea is to put your PC in a different room and run USB or HDMI cables to your room. That way, you can still use it without all the heat spilling back into your space.
You might want to try using a box fan to improve air circulation in and out of your room. Additionally, look into ways to make your PC components more efficient. And as for venting the AC out the door, that really won't work well. Can’t you open your windows? There are portable units that use a vent hose that can fit in most window designs.
In my office, I have a ceiling fan and a small desk fan blowing warm air out of the room. I also use a vent booster to draw in cooler air, which helps a lot.
