My Samsung A10's screen has fallen off, and I need to recover some important data from it. The problem is that I didn't have USB debugging enabled prior to the screen breaking, and now I can't turn it on without access to the screen. I do have a micro USB to HDMI cable, so I'm wondering if that can help in any way. Any suggestions?

I had a similar issue with a different phone. It didn't work on Windows, but I managed to access the files using an Ubuntu PC. You can run a live version from a USB stick if you don't want to install it permanently.
Unfortunately, the simplest solution is to get a dongle that has both a USB port for a mouse and an HDMI output. They’re pretty cheap, around 10 bucks. Just be careful; finding one with micro USB support can be a challenge!
You're right! I never realized how hard it could be to find those accessories!
If your phone is PIN-locked or using a fingerprint, you might be able to unlock it and then connect it to a PC via USB. That way, you could access the file system. But, if you can't confirm the unlock, then it won't work sadly.
Yeah, I have a PIN as well, and it needs confirmation on the screen before connecting to the computer, which makes it tough.
Could you explain how to do that? I’m not very familiar with Ubuntu.
