Hey everyone! I accidentally dropped my phone in my dog's water bowl for just a second, and I've been trying to figure out the best way to ensure it's completely dry before using it again. The charging port didn't get wet—just the top half of the phone. I took it out immediately, dried it off with my shirt, powered it down, and have it sitting under a fan for airflow. I'm curious how long I should wait or what other methods I can use to make sure it's safe to turn back on. My phone is a OnePlus Nord 2 5G.

You have a couple of good options here! One effective way is to grab a packet of desiccant, like silica gel, and place it in a sealed container with your phone for a few hours. If that's not available, you can use a vacuum cleaner to gently suck out any moisture—just keep it a safe distance from the ports. Fingers crossed that it works out!

Thanks for the tips! I don’t have any desiccant at hand, so I think I’ll try the vacuum method instead. How long should I wait to ensure it's dried out thoroughly?
