How Can I Send Secure Email Attachments With One-Time Passcodes in Gmail?

I'm using Gmail for all our email communications and I'm trying to figure out how to send secure attachments. Ideally, I want the recipient to receive a one-time passcode via their email before they can access the attachment. I've seen this feature in Microsoft Purview, but it's limited to Office 365 users. Gmail offers confidential email but requires entering the recipient's cell number beforehand, which isn't ideal for us. Does anyone have suggestions for achieving this in Gmail?

Gmail has a feature called Client Side Encryption. It’s referred to as an 'encrypted envelope' as described in their support documents. You can find more info at the Google support page, but make sure it meets your requirements. Just remember to check if it works for the type of attachments you intend to send.

Why not just send your attachments encrypted directly? It's straightforward and might be sufficient for your security needs.

You might want to check out Cryptshare. It's a secure file transfer solution that allows recipients to receive a one-time password to access files. It could fit your needs really well!

Have you tried using Virtru? It's another option that offers encryption for your emails and can help with secure attachments.
