I'm struggling with my very old laptop that's running super slow. I've encountered a blue screen error with the code 'dogwatch violation.' So far, I've cleared most of my files to an external hard drive and ran a disk cleanup. I'm planning to do a defrag as well. Windows is updated, but there are still many optional updates available. Should I go ahead and install those too? Any tips on speeding up my laptop would be really helpful since I've got a job interview next week and it takes ages to load Zoom.

You should definitely consider swapping out your old HDD for an SSD; it'll make a huge difference in speed! Also, upgrading your RAM can help if you're still using a lower capacity.
I checked my drive and it's an HDD (st500lt012-9ws142). Is it pricey and difficult to switch to an SSD?
