How can I stop holding the fn key to use function keys in Windows 11?

When I'm playing a game on my Windows 11 PC, it tells me to press F5, but I have to hold down the fn key to do so. I'd like to know how I can change this behavior so that I don't have to hold the fn key every time I want to use the function keys. Any tips?

You might want to try pressing the fn key along with a function lock key if your keyboard has one. This can often help change the default behavior of your function keys so that you can use them without holding fn.

If your keyboard doesn't have a function lock key, check the BIOS settings. There might be an option to reverse the function key operations so that F1, F2, etc., are the default and you use fn for the special functions.
