My boyfriend and I recently bought a second-hand Philips flat screen TV (model 32HFL5662L/F7), but we're having some trouble switching it to HDMI. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a remote, and when we try to change the input using the side menu button, it only brings up the sleep timer. Any ideas on how we can resolve this?

It might help if you can specify the model, since it looks like you mentioned it in a later reply! Getting the exact model can really assist people in giving the best advice.
You could buy a replacement remote online. It’s usually pretty cheap, and it might save you a lot of trouble!
Do you think a universal remote would work for this model since it's discontinued?

Oh crap, I thought I included that! My bad!
