How Do I Disable the New Password Requirement on My Phone?

After my phone updated recently, it forced me to set a full password instead of my original passcode. This is really frustrating because my Face ID doesn't work well when I'm in bed, in the dark, or if I've applied makeup. I just want to know if there's a way to revert back to using my passcode instead of this password. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you can switch back your passcode. Check out the Apple support link for instructions on how to revert the password setting. Just remember that if your phone is managed or linked to an Exchange account, a stronger password policy might apply.

MakeupMagic88: Also, consider setting up an alternative appearance if your makeup is throwing off the sensor. Just go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and find the option to set that up!
