I'm considering upgrading from a 2070 to a 5070, but I'm not really interested in using AI features like frame generation. I've heard mixed reviews about the 5070, and I'm curious about its performance in gaming without these additional features. Is it worth making the switch?

I've got a 5070 Ti, and trust me, the hardware is impressive even if you skip the 'fake frames' hype. At 1440p, using DLSS feels like a game changer. Sure, frame generation is cool, but the 5070 has serious performance power for high settings and ray tracing too.
If you're kicking it at 1440p, you can expect over 144 fps in most games, which is awesome. I’m one of those who rarely uses frame generation, but it's nice to have when needed. Seriously, the 5070 is a great card!
Just a heads up, there are reports of some artifacts with the 5070. I bought one, and while I loved it initially, I faced issues like a translucent box in-game, so I ended up returning it and going for a different model.
DLSS is definitely based on AI, so keep that in mind when considering performance. But honestly, even without frame generation, the 5070 performs pretty well for the price. Many people think it’s a good buy right now, especially compared to other models.
Yeah, I get that some say it's not worth it, but if you can find it at MSRP, it might actually be a good deal compared to the 9070!
Totally worth the upgrade! I jumped from a 2080 to the 4070 Ti last year and was blown away. Expect a similar boost moving to the 5070. You’ll see a significant improvement in performance, especially in newer titles.
Yeah, I went from a 3060 Ti to a 5070 and noticed about a 50% improvement in frame rates, so I think you’ll be pleased!
Oh wow, that’s a bummer! I just got my first gaming PC with the 5070 Ti, and I’m loving it so far. Fingers crossed I don't have any issues!
