How to Change My Apple ID Region Without Losing Music?

Hey everyone! I'm considering changing the region of my Apple ID to access updates from my favorite artists on Apple Music. I have a couple of questions about this process: 1. If I change the region, will I lose my playlists and iCloud music, or just the downloads on my device? 2. After changing the region, will I still receive updates for apps that I downloaded with the previous account?

Here's a little trick: you can actually have two Apple accounts. Keep one for your iCloud backups, and use the other for changing regions. This way, in the Media Purchase settings, you can log in with your account from a different region. It might get a bit messy, but it works! For example, I have one account set to the US and another set to Ireland. When I'm abroad, I just quickly switch to download apps from the US, but switch back to my Irish account to keep things organized.

So, if I do that, what happens to my Apple Music library?

1. To change your Apple ID region, you'll need to unsubscribe from Apple Music first. If you do that, you'll lose access to all Apple Music content, including any DRM-protected music you've downloaded. 2. For apps, if some aren't available in the new region, you won't be able to update them.
