How to check if my computer has a virus?

I need some help figuring out if my computer might be infected with a virus. Every time I start up Windows 11, Microsoft Edge opens automatically, and even if I turn it off using Task Manager, it pops back up. Additionally, I've seen a location notification at the bottom right that says, "Programs using location: Microsoft Edge." I also noticed something called "Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection" in the Uninstall menu in Control Panel. Just to clarify, the only applications I've installed are Steam, Brave browser, and Discord. I haven't even visited any websites using Microsoft Edge except for downloading another browser, so I'm concerned that something may be wrong.

It sounds like you might be dealing with some kind of malware. If you suspect that’s the case, make sure to check out a solid malware guide for cleaning your computer. These things can sometimes sneak in without you even noticing!

Just so you know, the Remote Desktop Connection feature is actually standard on Windows devices, so it might not be suspicious. But definitely check your startup programs in the Task Manager as well since you should be able to disable Edge from starting up automatically there!

I mentioned in my post that I already disabled it, but it keeps re-opening!
