I'm currently using USB over IP software to share a USB drive that contains a license for a software program installed on a Windows Server VM. The issue I'm facing is that the shared USB drive appears twice on the server side in the software interface. When I connect to the server from my PC using our remote monitoring system, the USB drive shows up correctly just once. I've checked the RDP session settings and ensured that device redirection is turned off, but I'm still seeing the double entry. Is there anything else I should check? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, that seems a bit over complicated. Why not just place the license directly on the VM? That way, you wouldn't have to deal with any USB issues.
Have you tried going into the RDP advanced settings? There should be an option to disable USB redirection and also 'redirect PnP storage devices'. Make sure that's set correctly, then save your profile and deploy it appropriately for your users. If you're using RMM, you can push this configuration out using a script or set up a Group Policy Object (GPO) to manage it.
I did turn off everything under the local resources in the RDP settings, but I'm still seeing the USB drive appear twice on the server. Is there anything else I might have missed?

I'm assuming they're using a hardlock USB key for licensing. It's usually really tough to extract the license from those.
