I'm looking for some advice on handling a concerning situation. My father recently discovered that someone has been impersonating him and communicating with others without his consent. While investigating, my sister found an application called RemotePC installed on his Windows laptop. I don't know much about this software, and I'm worried about how to uninstall it properly. My main concern is whether uninstalling it will really cut off this person's access. What steps should I take to ensure that they can't access his laptop anymore? Thanks for your help!

Just uninstalling RemotePC might not be enough to fully remove their access. First, uninstall that software, then go through the other applications on the laptop to see if there are any other suspicious programs. I also recommend running a thorough virus scan to check for any malicious software that might be hiding on the machine.

You should also log into any accounts your father uses and log out of all sessions. Be sure to reset the passwords for each account as well.
