Is a $1.5K PC Build Feasible for 4K Gaming?

I'm curious if it's possible to build a decent gaming PC for around $1,500 that can handle 4K gaming at high settings. I'm considering using an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for the CPU and possibly a GTX 5070 for the GPU. Would this setup work? Is it worth spending the money?

I don't think a budget of $1,500 will cut it for 4K gaming. You'd ideally want at least a 5080 or something comparable to really hit the mark. A 5070 might struggle, especially if you're aiming for high settings.

If you allocate about half your budget towards the GPU, consider looking at the RX 9070XT or the 5070 Ti. They can handle 4K reasonably well, but don't expect top-tier performance. You might also want to reassess that 7800X3D since it’s not the best fit for budget constraints—something like the 9600X might be a better choice if you're sticking to a budget.

Good point! A used 4070 Ti could also be a solid choice to consider if you're open to secondhand options.
