I found a 2080 Ti on Facebook Marketplace for $225. I'm planning to try negotiating the price down a bit. However, I'm curious if there's a better GPU around that price range, with my max budget being $250. I usually play games at 1080p, but I occasionally game in 4K on older titles on my TV and do some VR gaming. I'm transitioning from a 3050 8GB, so pretty much anything will be a significant upgrade for me.

On paper, it looks great, but the 2080 Ti has been around for a while. Just consider the potential issues that come with older tech.
The 2080 Ti is essentially comparable to the 5060 or 3070, especially since it boasts 11GB of VRAM. At $225, I think it's a solid buy!
If I can negotiate it down to $200, that would be great! But are there any games that an older card like this might not support? Or can I rely on it for most titles?
While it's a good deal, remember that buying used means no warranty, and the card could fail anytime. Plus, Newegg has some newer cards in the same price range during their November sales!
You might find the 9060 XT 8GB version around $260 as a better option, or even a 6600 XT for $200 new. But honestly, a 2080 Ti for $225 isn't a bad deal at all.
If you grab that 2080 Ti, there's a good chance you'll want to repaste it, especially if you're buying from a marketplace. It's doable if you're up for a little DIY work!
I've never done that before. Is it tricky? By the way, it’s the one fan version from PNY.
At $225 for a 2080 Ti, you’ve got a great deal! If you can knock it down to around $210, it’s practically a steal.
I have a different card (2060) and I’m not upgrading for a while. I can still play most games, just missing out on some high-end titles.

Yeah, it might die unexpectedly since it's been used for so long!
