Hey everyone! I'm building a gaming PC for my husband and was considering pairing a 5060 TI with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D. I want to save some cash, as getting a 7800X3D would be a bit pricey. What do you all think about this combo? Any advice would be appreciated!

For a new build, I'd recommend looking into AM5 instead! Think about a Ryzen 7400F or 7500F now, then upgrade to a 7800X3D or maybe even a 9800X3D later. For the motherboard, go B650, and I'd go with 32GB of 6000MHz CL30 RAM. If you stick with the 5700X3D, you're kind of locked into that setup with no upgrade path unless you build a whole new PC.
What’s your total budget? And where are you based?
Consider getting a 7800XT or 4070 TI Super alongside a 7600X for a balance of performance and value.
I think going with a 5060 TI and a Ryzen 7500F is a solid plan!
It really depends on the prices of the CPUs and whether you have any AM4 components like RAM or a motherboard already. The 5700X3D should work just fine with the 5060 TI. Just make sure to get a GPU with at least 16GB of VRAM. I picked up my 5700X3D for about $140 USD last year and paired it with a 7800XT.
I'm in Australia, and prices here are a bit crazy. My initial budget was $2500, but I can stretch to $2700 AUD since I want to make it really nice for him!
