Is a Second-Hand AMD Ryzen 9 7900X for €200 Worth It?

Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC and looking to balance both productivity and gaming. I found a second-hand AMD Ryzen 9 7900X for €200, but I'm hesitant because I'm concerned about its power consumption and cooling requirements. I'm considering using a Peerless Assassin 120 for cooling, but I'm not sure if that would suffice. I initially thought about going for a Ryzen 7 9700X, which seemed more efficient. Now I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and I'm hoping for some advice. Should I grab this deal on the 7900X, and will my cooling plan work?

Honestly, your Peerless Assassin 120 isn't going to cut it for the 7900X. It runs quite hot, and you'll need something with more cooling power. If you're set on getting a 7900X, consider an upgraded cooler unless you want to risk thermal throttling. The 9700X could be a safer bet for your cooling setup.
