Is anyone else struggling with ChatGPT’s missing features?

I've been really frustrated with how OpenAI has been downgrading ChatGPT's capabilities lately, especially for paid users. The persistent memory feature seems to be almost non-existent now—every chat feels like a fresh start with no context from previous conversations. This makes working on projects feel pointless since I can't keep track of details anymore. Also, I just discovered that the link-sharing ability has been removed as well, meaning I can't even get ChatGPT to read content from links I share unless I paste all the text myself. It was handy for research! On top of that, support has been a nightmare; every time I try to reach out, I just get stuck in a queue without any response. After the loss of these important features and the lack of support, I'm really questioning the value of what I'm paying for. Anyone else feeling this way, or have any tips or workarounds?

I hear you! It’s super frustrating. I’ve also noticed that since the recent outage, it just hasn’t been performing as well. I had a similar experience where it made all sorts of weird claims about its features being removed. It’s hard to trust what it says at times. Best advice I can give is to just remember to double-check its responses and not take anything at face value. Sometimes you have to sift through the nonsense to find useful info.

Totally! I had it tell me wild things that made no sense. Now, I just treat it like a source I need to verify other information against.

Exactly! We can't just rely on it blindly anymore.

Honestly, what do you expect? The AI space is so volatile. Companies are constantly tweaking things and releasing features that work differently from week to week. It's maddening! I thought things would get stable, but it feels like I'm using a beta version most of the time. I used to love it, but now I have to lower my expectations.

I feel you! I've been using LLMs for a few months, and it took me from being overly excited to just disappointed by the inconsistencies. I still use ChatGPT, but the tasks I trust it with are getting fewer.

Exactly, it's feeling like the free version instead of what we’re paying for.
