I'm planning to update my device to iOS 26.2.1 but I'm worried it might prompt me to sign into my Apple ID again. I'm already logged in, so can I go ahead with the update without any issues?

I'm using an iPad mini 5, and I totally get it. It's normal to feel paranoid about passwords. If you're already logged in and can remember your password, you should be fine to update. Just make sure you have it saved somewhere safe!
What device are you using? In general, if you're already signed into your Apple ID, you shouldn't have to sign in again after the update. Just make sure you're not having any issues with your account first.
