Hey folks! I recently upgraded to an MSI B850 motherboard that has two 8-pin slots for CPU power. Unfortunately, my power supply only came with one 8-pin CC-7710 cable, and I'm not sure if I misplaced another one. My aunt advised against using power cables that didn't come with the power supply, but I'm hesitant to buy a new PSU just for an extra cable. Can I safely purchase another EPS P8 cable to use, or should I stick to what's included? Thanks in advance for the help!

Yeah, definitely stick to the cables that come with your power supply! Mixing and matching cables can lead to serious issues, including risks of short-circuiting. Since you're not overclocking, the single EPS 8-pin is totally fine. Just out of curiosity, what CPU are you running?

I have a Ryzen 5 7600X3D along with the motherboard and 16 GB of DDR5 RAM. I bundled it all together since my DDR4 went bad, and upgrading made more sense. Might grab another RAM stick too, but you know how it is!
