Hey everyone, my laptop's RAM is acting up and really needs to be replaced. It has already corrupted my operating system, so now I'm wondering if it's safe to download the Windows 11 media creation tool onto a USB stick from this faulty laptop. I've got the USB ready for installation, but I'm concerned: could my bad RAM also corrupt the installer files while they're being downloaded? Everyone I know has a Mac, so I can't really ask them for help. What's your take on this?

You can definitely try using your laptop first to download it. If you want to, you can also use an Apple computer to download the ISO file and then use a tool like balenaEtcher to write it to the USB stick. Just remember: bad RAM on your laptop won't corrupt the files you're creating on the USB stick.
It's generally fine to download the media creation tool on your laptop. There’s a small chance the installer might get corrupted, but if that happens, it just won't work, so there’s not much risk. Just go for it!
But won't the bad RAM mess with the installer and take down the new RAM when I replace it?
