Is Microsoft 365 Exchange Online having an outage?

Is anyone else having trouble sending or receiving email through Microsoft 365 Outlook? Outlook on the web won't let some users sign in, the newer Outlook app opens but doesn't sync, and email delivery appears delayed or completely stalled. Classic Outlook seems to be syncing for some people, though search is failing in both the desktop client and web version.

The newer Outlook client and Outlook on the web are affected for us, while Classic Outlook is still syncing in some cases. That may explain why different users are seeing different symptoms, but it doesn’t look like a local client issue.

Yes, this appears to be a broader Exchange Online incident rather than an isolated account problem. Users are reporting failed internal and external delivery, missing sync, search failures, and slow message flow. The service status page is investigating it under incident EX1464935.

That matches what we’re seeing too—messages are either stuck or taking a long time to arrive.

There was a noticeable spike in user reports, and the official service notification was posted shortly afterward. Email started flowing again for some users, but delivery was still very slow, so the incident may be recovering gradually rather than being fully resolved.
