Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new computer and after a few rough attempts in the past, I would love to get some feedback from the experts here. Here's what I'm planning to use:
- Fractal Design Torrent Solid Case
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16) 6000 CL30 XMP 3.0 RAM
- Gygabyte x870E Aorus Elite Motherboard
- Noctua NH-D15 G2 CPU Cooler
- Noctua NF-A12x25 5V PWM 120mm Fan
- Samsung SSD 2TB 990 Pro NVMe M.2 with Heatsink
- Corsair RM850x 850W ATX 3.1 Gold Modular Power Supply
I've also got a brand new 5070ti Trio and a Ryzen 7 9800 X3D CPU. Can anyone weigh in on whether this build is solid? Are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of? Also, I'm curious about gaming performance—what games can I run, and what would be a good monitor to pair with this setup? I currently have an ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q from a couple of years ago. Thanks a lot!

I’d recommend switching to a B850 motherboard if gaming's your main focus. The X870E is decent, but the B850 can optimize performance better for gaming. Your GPU's a bit older, but it'll still handle most games at 1080p or 1440p without a hitch. Just make sure your cooling is set up well too!

Got it! Thanks for the input! Since I mistook my GPU for the 3070, knowing it's the 5070ti really helps. What’s your take on how far I can push this build gaming-wise?
