Hey everyone, I'm considering upgrading my PC and my friend is offering me his 5060 Ti 8GB for £250. Right now, I have a 5700 XT and a 5600X. I noticed that new cards are priced over £300, so I'm wondering if this is a good deal. Also, how much of an upgrade is the 5060 Ti compared to my 5700 XT?

For 1080p gaming, it should be a decent upgrade over the 5700 XT. The 8GB shouldn't be an issue for most games at that resolution. Just keep in mind that while it's better, it's not a massive leap in performance. If you're on a tight budget, it could work for you.

Honestly, £250 is pretty much the standard price for these cards in the UK, especially on eBay. I think your friend could offer it at £200 since he's not dealing with shipping issues or eBay fees. If you've got a PCIe 4 motherboard, it'll also help manage the 8GB VRAM better in tougher games.

While it's a significant upgrade over your 5700 XT, you might want to consider saving up for a card with 12-16 GB of VRAM. These 8GB models are starting to struggle in some titles, and the future might make that limit more pronounced.
