I recently went to buy a 9060 XT GPU, but I was warned that it might be too powerful for my current setup. I've got a B450 motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 5600G processor and a 650W power supply. I've checked various sources and they mostly say it should work fine, but I'm looking for confirmation. I mostly play AAA games and I'm okay with playing at medium settings while aiming for high-quality graphics. I was really set on the 9060 XT because I don't plan to upgrade my GPU again anytime soon, but I'm considering switching to the RX 7600 XT instead. I'd love some advice on this!

Honestly, I don't think the 9060 XT will be too much for your setup. Sure, your CPU could be a bit better, but the GPU generally takes priority in gaming. Just out of curiosity, what resolution are you planning to play at? Also, is it the 8GB or 16GB version of the 9060 XT?
Just check if your 650W PSU has all the necessary PCIe power cables for the GPU. I have a similar PSU, and it's been great for my setup without any issues.
Do you really need that much power? Maybe consider the RX 7600 XT if you're worried; it's a solid alternative and might be a better fit for your current rig.
I got the 16GB version!
