Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card for better gaming on Linux since Nvidia's support isn't great there. I've got my eye on the AMD Asrock Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi, which looks awesome with its flashy ARGB lights to match my other components. However, it's priced at $1,000, and I'm not sure if that's worth it. I'd love to hear your thoughts—is this card a significant upgrade over my current Nvidia EVGA GeForce RTX 3070?

You're looking at around twice the performance jumping from a 3070 to a 9070 XT. However, I don't think it's worth spending $1,000 for this particular upgrade. You might find better options for that price.
I hear you! Finding an upgrade that won’t break the bank is tough.
Sure, the 9070 XT would be a good upgrade, but at $1,000? That's a hard pass from me. There are definitely better deals to be had out there.
What's a more reasonable price to aim for if I consider this card?
Totally hear you, anything cheaper that’s still a good upgrade?
Honestly, $1,000 is a steep price for that card, especially when it has an MSRP of around $600. You might want to look into other brands like XFX or PowerColor that offer models with better value.
Are those also AMD cards? What should I be looking for?
I'm curious—what's the difference between the VRAM brands Hynix and Samsung?
What would you recommend instead? Is there a GPU that offers good value right now?
