Is the Eaton 1500 VA UPS a good choice for my setup?

I'm considering buying the Eaton 1500 VA 900 W UPS for my PC setup. My previous UPS, an APC 1200VA 650W, would fail immediately when the power cut out, and I'm unsure if that was due to a defect or if I was overloading it. I need to know if the Eaton will be sufficient or if it might be too much. My current rig specs include a Ryzen 5600x, RTX 4080 Super, 32GB DDR RAM, a 1TB SSD, two 4TB HDDs, three fans, and a Noctua NH-D15 cooler. I also use a mechanical keyboard, a mouse, a 42" LG C2 TV for a monitor, and an IFI Zen DAC with some HD600 headphones. Ideally, I want the UPS to give me a few minutes to properly shut down during a power outage, and I can consider not connecting the TV. Any advice would be appreciated!

To figure out if the UPS will support your setup, check the total wattage your system needs. You can use online calculators like the one from Seasonic. Just make sure your total wattage doesn't exceed the 900W limit of the UPS. And about the UPS specs, it sounds like you might have mixed up the VA and W ratings, but Eaton's clearly states it as 1500VA/900W, which is correct!

If the PSU calculator suggests you need a 700W power supply, then the 900W UPS should be fine for your setup! It's good that you’re thinking about disconnecting the TV because that will help keep the load on the UPS lower. Remember, you just want it to give you time to shut down your PC, so it sounds like you're good to go!
