Is the IP Finder app legitimate or potentially harmful?

I recently discovered an app called IP Finder on my device after my IP address got leaked during a Discord raid while I was asleep. I'm concerned because I don't remember installing this app and want to know if it's real or if it could be harmful in some way. Can anyone help clarify this?

I get your concern! It’s suspicious to find an app like that without your knowledge. Just because you found a leaked IP address doesn't mean that app is malicious, though. Just to be safe, if you've uninstalled it and you're not seeing any weird behavior on your device, then you should be fine. Keep an eye on your apps and check for anything unusual periodically.

Thanks for the reassurance! I’ll definitely stay vigilant.

It's important to know that your IP address is generally public information, which means any website or service you use can see it. The mention of 'RAID' in your question seems a bit confusing; RAID typically refers to hard drive configurations, not online security breaches. But if you're worried about unauthorized access, it’s a good idea to check your app permissions and ensure you’re using trusted applications.
