We've been facing issues with Outlook crashing on startup for users who have the latest version of Teams, specifically version 26043.2016.4478.2773. The crashes cease when we disable the Teams Add-In, and users with earlier Teams versions aren't experiencing this problem. We're using Office 2021 on Windows 11. I'm wondering if others are facing the same issue and if there's a reliable fix out there since my search has come up empty so far.

You’re not alone! We're dealing with the same issue. The Teams Meeting Add-in is definitely causing this crash. Disabling it allows Outlook to open without any problems. We reached out to Microsoft support but didn't get immediate help. Let's hope they can sort it out soon!
I'm running into the same problem! It's an absolute pain. I tried uninstalling the Teams add-in from the control panel for a quick fix, but it just reinstalls itself the next day. Recently, I've been modifying the registry for people who don’t use Teams in Outlook. You can find it under HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOfficeOutlookAddinsTeamsAddin.FastConnect. Just change the LoadBehavior value to 0. For others, I've had to upgrade Office 2016 licenses and do the click-to-run version instead.
We've managed to implement a temporary solution by running an online repair for Office on the affected workstations. It’s not a complete fix, but it helps get things running again for now.

I heard from someone that the crash logs indicate it’s tied to the OneAuth startup in the Teams add-in. Apparently, this version is incompatible with the classic Outlook LTSC 2021. It’s frustrating that even Microsoft acknowledges issues but it seems like no one has a fix yet!
