Is Upgrading from AM4 to AM5 Worth It for Gaming?

I'm currently gaming at 1080p on a pretty demanding titles like Ark: Survival Ascended, Cyberpunk, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I've just upgraded my GPU, and my current setup includes a B450 Tomahawk motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600 processor, a 7800 XT 16GB graphics card, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I'm thinking of improving my cooling with a better case and am curious about how much performance boost I could expect if I switch to an AM5 platform. I'm considering something around the $500 mark, like the B850 Tomahawk motherboard, a 9600X CPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Does anyone have insights on the potential performance increases with this upgrade?

Upgrading really depends on your cooling setup. If your CPU is hitting high temps and throttling, airflow becomes a big deal. You might also want to check if your cooler is adequate. The Peerless Assassin Mini should be okay, but if your temps are high and you're in a smaller case, a better case with airflow might be beneficial!

I've got decent temps with my current setup, but I’ve heard that getting a bigger case can really help with heat management. I do need to keep my case closed to keep my cats away from the components.
