I'm having trouble getting iTunes to recognize my iPhone when I try to connect it to my computer for installing Altstore. Even though my computer shows my phone in the file explorer, iTunes is just not picking it up. I don't have any other Apple devices or services installed, and I've already uninstalled and reinstalled both iTunes and iCloud multiple times. I also made sure to update the Apple mobile device USB drivers but still no luck. By the way, I'm running on Windows 11 and using the 64-bit version of iTunes. Any tips would be super helpful!

First things first, you might want to try using a different USB cable or port. Sometimes the issue can be as simple as that. Also, if you’ve ever jailbroken your iPhone, the USB port functionality could be disabled, so try turning off your phone, plugging it in, and then holding the power button until the recovery screen pops up.
That's strange, it should work with an iPhone. What model are you using?
Glad you figured it out! It's surprising how a single faulty cable can cause so much hassle. Just to add, always double-check the coinnection if you're having issues again, and maybe even check if a different cable works next time! Let me know if you run into more problems.
