I'm trying to find a Thunderbolt expansion card for my MSI B760 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard. I specifically need Thunderbolt 3 for an audio interface I recently purchased. Can anyone help me with suggestions or advice?

Your motherboard can actually support Thunderbolt add-on cards, but they tend to be priced between $120 and $200, which is pretty steep.

Honestly, if you're considering spending that much, you might want to think about switching to an AM5 setup instead. You could grab the cheapest X670 board for around $167, and it supports USB4, which includes Thunderbolt 3 and 4. Plus, you'd be able to get a used 7800X3D CPU for about $320, making it a nice upgrade for gaming like Valorant or CS2. Just a thought!

That does sound like a solid upgrade. Selling your current setup could help offset the costs too!

I looked into a couple of LGA1700 boards with built-in Thunderbolt support. But they're all in the $450 range, way too pricey if you're just looking for an expansion card.
