I need some help with finding a suitable low profile GPU. I built an entry-level Dell computer for my 15-year-old nephew about a year ago, featuring an i7 11th gen processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD running Windows 10. It came with a Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 LP GPU, which was great at the time. However, he recently mentioned that he has to lower the resolution to play Call of Duty! I didn't expect him to get into COD so soon.
Now I'm looking to upgrade the GPU, but I've realized that there aren't many low profile options that meet the game's specs. The only one I've found that seems better is the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile, but I'm concerned about power needs since I need low-profile cards due to a slim case. If anyone has recommendations for better low profile GPUs or alternative expansion cards, I would really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, low-profile options are pretty limited. The GTX 1650 runs under 75W and can draw power from the PCIe slot, while the RTX 4060 requires more than that and an additional 8-pin PCIe power cable. Your Dell's PSU might not support that upgrade. If you're looking for something under 75W, maybe consider the RTX 3050 6GB as an alternative?
If upgrading to a higher wattage power supply is an option, that could open up more choices. Just be careful since fitting a larger PSU in a Dell case can be tricky. But honestly, if he’s really getting into gaming, it might be worth considering a full ATX build for more flexibility down the road.
The 4060 is a solid choice, but you might want to wait a month or so for any LP 5060 variants to come out. Just keep in mind that the 5060 might have higher power demands than your current PSU can handle.
