Hey everyone, my RTX 3070Ti just died, but luckily it's under warranty. I have two options: I can either get the card repaired for free, which would take about 4-6 weeks, or I can pay the difference for an upgraded card. I'm looking for some recommendations on a suitable upgrade that fits well with my current setup, which I don't want to change otherwise. I'd prefer staying with NVIDIA and would like to start using dual 4K monitors instead of dual 1080. Here are my specs: Lian Li O11D Mini, Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX motherboard, Intel Core i7-12700KF (5.0 GHz, 12 cores, 20 threads), Gigabyte RTX 3070Ti Gaming OC (8GB), 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RS RGB (3600MHz), Aftershock Spectra Glacier Mirror 280mm, 1TB Western Digital SN570 M.2 NVME, and a 750W Corsair SF 80+ Platinum power supply. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I’d recommend the 5070 or even the new 9070xt. The 3070Ti is decent, but for 4K gaming, you'll want that extra VRAM to really improve your experience. If you can get a direct exchange, aim for the 12GB or 16GB cards.
Honestly, for your setup, going for a 4070 or higher would be a solid choice! The i7-12700KF is powerful enough not to bottleneck the performance at 1080p, and you don't need to worry too much about the term 'bottleneck'—just focus on getting the best GPU you can.
I totally get that! Sometimes, all this jargon can be confusing, especially for those of us who aren't super tech-savvy. You definitely want a good balance, and it seems like you're on the right track.
But it's true, the 4070 and up are where it's at with NVIDIA right now. Don't shy away from upgrading!
If you're looking to run dual 4K monitors, definitely aim for a 4070 or 5070. The 12GB to 16GB VRAM will serve you well in those scenarios. Just check for availability in your region since stocks can vary!
Thanks, that sounds like a good plan! I’ve been reading that the 4070 is a great choice based on what I've seen in benchmarks.
Exactly! The more VRAM, the better, especially for higher resolutions. If you’re spending the money, you want a card that will last!
