Need Alternatives for Scappman After Its Buyout

Hey everyone! So, I used to rely on Scappman for managing Intune applications, but since it got bought out by Patch My PC, things have taken a dive. The crucial feature I needed—keeping Intune applications updated with the latest versions—is currently missing in their new service. Plus, their pricing skyrocketed from $500 a year to $5,000 without providing more value. On top of that, transitioning my existing apps is a nightmare with no migration options available. I've been looking into NinjaOne, but it seems like they try to replace Intune with their own agent, which I'm not a fan of because it would undermine the benefits of our E5 licenses. So, does anyone know of a different software that can manage Intune applications while using Intune itself and not relying on a third-party agent?

We actually use Intune alongside NinjaOne. Intune manages the deployment, while NinjaOne takes care of the rest. It allows us to utilize both systems effectively.

I was close to signing up for NinjaOne, too. But managing everything through NinjaOne without utilizing Intune's capabilities seems like a bad ROI, especially since we upgraded to E5 licenses for those benefits. Also, NinjaOne's limitation on applying more than one policy per application is frustrating since we need to manage different groups.

I’m not very familiar with Scappman, but I can vouch for Patch My PC. They have a solid product and great support. Their pricing might seem high, but maybe the $5k is for a large number of seats? They can definitely maintain Intune applications with the latest updates and simplify setup with auto-discovery of installed apps.

I attended the webinar when Scappman introduced PMPC, and it was made clear that PMPC doesn’t match Scappman’s automated patching. The 5k plan supposedly mirrors Scappman’s features, but PMPC has a smaller catalogue of applications than Scappman.

We switched to intunepckgr.com after Scappman. While it's not perfect, it's pretty decent and much more affordable. Plus, it handles Mac apps, though only through script installations for now, not CP apps.
